Jennifer Elsner
ARTIST, DESIGNER, WRITER, AND TEACHER
Jennifer Elsner is a multidisciplinary artist who has worked in text, graphic design, sculpture, process, and performance. And while she’s uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person, has heard it can be effective for things like this.
Intrinsic. Esoteric. Dynamic. Cosmic. Prosaic. Therapeutic. Rhapsodic. Terrific. ORA+CLE was designed as a limited edition art object and divination tool, designed to be used on its own, or as a complement to a tarot practice. ORA+CLE is an object displayed in a place of reverence or kept private as your personal sage. The deck possesses a simplicity that allows the reader a clearer path to arriving at a natural understanding. ORA+CLE is Elsner’s contribution to the desire to manifest meaning and create paradigm shifts.
And this isn’t her first rodeo. Elsner has participated in exhibitions in galleries and in the field. Her ephemeral work is found in private collections and museums. Publications include those printed on paper and displayed on-screen. She is a graduate of The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Elsner is currently working with fiber and weaving at her home studio in Marfa, Texas
