PERCEIVING THE SIGNS
Disa relished her role as a grandmother and was enjoying living her full, busy life in Colorado. Her favorite pastime was being with her family and dogs. An entrepreneur working beside her husband, their businesses included renovating houses, Poop Van Scoop ( the first dog yard cleanup business in the country), lifecasting in cold-cast bronze, Krav Maga, and healing arts for people and animals. She enjoyed photography, traveling, nature, and scuba diving as hobbies and had no intention of creating a book, let alone a card deck.
Dylan Skye was a wild, funny, sensitive, and animated little six-year-old boy wrapped in mischief, who would light up a room wherever he went. He was our "sunshine." An adventurous little boy, he loved traveling, swimming, playing with his dogs, lacrosse, and Cub Scouts. Fearless on his zipline flights and ski runs, his eyes sparkled when he outplayed a video game. Dylan had a look of determination as he tried to beat his big brother in a backyard race, but had to settle for an unexpected surprise attack, tackling him to the ground.
All this came to a crashing halt when this precious boy suddenly stepped into spirit. Heartbroken, the family’s world stopped. Until… five days later, in the midst of writing his eulogy, Disa heard his voice. Not imagined. Not memory. A poem, whole and radiant, delivered with Dylan’s signature humor and light. It was the birth of Disa’s soul and the birth of the book My Loved One Shines On! A Gift from Beyond.
Now, their next chapter unfolds: a sacred digital card deck that invites you into a journey beyond. Disa and Dylan are a team merging knowledge from both sides of the veil. Gebra and Buffalo Boy are now co-creators on a sacred spiritual journey filled with love, curiosity, laughter, and awe. Together, they are helping others find the signs, comfort, and love that never truly leaves.

Over a decade ago, my six-year-old grandson, Dylan Skye, left this world, and yet, he's never left my side. Five days after his transition, he gifted me a poem. His first words were, "Oh, you are wrong if you think I'm gone. I am right there in your favorite song." It was the birth of my soul. I entwined my photographs with his words. That poem became a book. But Dylan wasn't done. In his typical playful, determined fashion, he guided me to create something more. That book evolved into this digital card deck. A joyful, healing, sacred spiritual scavenger hunt that others could join. The Journey Beyond was born.
"The Journey Beyond – My Loved One Shines On!" was created in sacred collaboration with my wise, clever, endlessly energetic, and delightfully humorous grandson. Though he crossed the veil in 2012, Dylan continues to inspire, guide, and surprise me every step of the way. This project has become our pilgrimage, side by side, one woven with love, laughter, and a shared desire to help others reconnect with those they miss.

Every card offers three perspectives filled with creativity, two words for your spiritual treasure hunt list, and wisdom waiting to be unraveled. And when the only wild card, Number 0, appears, expect something extra magical.
