I spent much of my life feeling like I was at the mercy of whatever the universe dished out, not realizing I was creating my own unhappiness through my own subconscious beliefs and motivations.

It wasn't until I was willing to 'consider', or look at my subconscious beliefs and motivations, that I found happiness; peace.
